2nd annual

In the 2023/2024 school year, 6 secondary schools from eastern Slovakia are involved in the project.

In the second phase of the project, the teams are tasked with creating their own materials and then using them to educate their community. Each school chooses its own topic, as well as the target groups for which it adapts the education. You can find the materials developed by individual schools below.

Stredná odborná škola technická, Rožňava

Students of the Information and Network Technologies department participated in the high school security team project. In the first semester, they were educated, then they created various materials that they used in activities in their community.
First, they presented their knowledge to their classmates and teachers at school, and then to elementary school students and seniors.

Obchodná akadémia, Rožňava

This year we prepared activities for all students of our school during the Sports and Development Activities Day. We also organized a Security Day at the school focused on malware, cryptography and the basics of information security, in which approximately 107 students and teachers of our school were involved. Our team was also involved in the Open Day at our school, where we prepared activities on the topics of social engineering, social networks and mobile device protection for approximately 115 elementary school students. We visited 4 elementary schools in Rožňava, for which we prepared a workshop on artificial intelligence, passwords, cookies, social networks with practical demonstrations, e.g. how artificial intelligence learns. In total, we addressed approximately 360 students.

We want to focus on primary school students as a priority. So far, we have mainly created content and presentation activities to raise awareness, but we have also implemented demonstrations for primary school students at our Energy, Technology and Innovation Days (D.E.T.I. 2024) event, where we presented tools such as RubberDucky or Remote Administration Tool. The cyber team prepared an interesting presentation for its younger classmates on the occasion of Safer Internet Week, which this year was dedicated to responsible behavior on the Internet. In May, we also want to focus on visiting primary schools and presenting interesting topics for second graders.

Gymnázium, Michalovce

We organized 2 events – a lecture for seniors and for 8th grade elementary school students. The lecture for seniors focused on the topic of social engineering, especially phishing and vishing. The seniors were also given advice on how to defend themselves against these attacks. There were about 25 seniors at the lecture, and we are preparing a sequel.
The lecture for elementary school students focused on safe internet use, including phishing and personal data protection. A total of 32 students and 3 teachers attended.
In addition to seniors, we are planning events for students at our school.
